Our Story

The Story Room Collective was born from a simple but powerful belief: indie authors deserve a place on the shelves. They deserve to be seen. They deserve to be discovered by the communities that need their stories most.

We started with a dream and a pop-up market — showing up for our community for over a year across many events — before opening the doors to our physical home on May 16, 2026. Every step of that journey was fueled by one mission: to give the overlooked an opportunity to be found.

Meet Estefania Lazaro

Estefania Lazaro is the founder and heart behind The Story Room Collective. Driven by a deep love for literature and a commitment to amplifying underrepresented voices, she turned a vision into a movement  one pop-up at a time  before bringing it home to Orlando. Her belief that every story deserves a shelf is the foundation everything here is built on.

Who We Are

We are a Latina-owned indie bookstore and community hub rooted in Orlando, FL. We celebrate diverse voices, champion independent authors, and create space for readers who are looking for stories that reflect the full richness of human experience.

At The Story Room Collective, you'll find more than books — you'll find a community. From our beloved Blind Date with a Book experience to author signings, book clubs, and live events, everything we do is designed to bring people together through the power of storytelling.
