OVERVIEW

This website is operated by The Story Room Collective. Throughout the site the terms "we," "us," and "our" refer to The Story Room Collective. By visiting our site and/or purchasing something from us, you engage in our Service and agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions.

Please read these Terms of Service carefully before accessing or using our website. If you do not agree to all the terms and conditions, you may not access the website or use any services.

Our store is hosted on Shopify Inc., which provides us with the online e-commerce platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you.

SECTION 1 — ONLINE STORE TERMS

By agreeing to these Terms of Service, you represent that you are at least the age of majority in your state or province of residence. You may not use our products for any illegal or unauthorized purpose. A breach or violation of any of the Terms will result in immediate termination of your Services.

SECTION 2 — GENERAL CONDITIONS

We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason at any time. You agree not to reproduce, duplicate, copy, sell, resell, or exploit any portion of the Service without express written permission by us.

SECTION 3 — PRODUCTS & SERVICES

The Story Room Collective sells new books, indie published titles, and local authors across all genres. We carry both physical and digital products through our Shopify store and libro.fm.

We have made every effort to display our products as accurately as possible. We cannot guarantee that your monitor's display of any color will be completely accurate.

We reserve the right to limit quantities, discontinue products, or modify pricing at any time without notice.

SECTION 4 — SALES

  • All sales are processed exclusively through The Story Room Collective register or online store
  • Monthly sales reports will be provided to all active consignment participants
  • Unsold inventory handling after 90 days will be negotiated on a case-by-case basis
  • The Story Room Collective reserves the right to remove items from the shelf if they arrive in unsellable condition

SECTION 5 — EVENT TICKETS & POLICIES

Ticket Types:

General Admission — Entry to the event. No book included unless otherwise stated.

General Admission + Book — Entry to the event plus one copy of the featured title.

Signing Access — Access to the author signing line with book included. No access to event programming unless otherwise stated.

Inner Chapter Member — Members receive exclusive access and pricing for select events. Promo codes are sent after membership is confirmed.

Admission Policies:

  • All ticketed events are 18+ unless otherwise stated
  • One ticket = one person
  • Every attendee must present a valid ticket for entry
  • Tickets are non-transferable and non-resellable
  • Resold tickets will not be honored

If you cannot attend after purchasing a ticket: We will hold your included book for up to two weeks after the event. After two weeks unclaimed books will be returned to inventory and no refund will be granted.

All event tickets are non-refundable.

SECTION 6 — SIGNING EVENT GUIDELINES

  • Attendees may bring up to five (5) books per person to be signed at any in-store event
  • Signing limits may change based on author preference, event timing, attendance volume, or venue constraints
  • Personalization requests are at the author's discretion
  • Photos during signing are subject to author approval
  • All books sold at signing events must be purchased through The Story Room Collective

SECTION 7 — RETURNS & EXCHANGES

  • All book purchases are final sale
  • Damaged or defective items must be reported within 7 days of purchase with a photo — we will make it right
  • Bookish merchandise may not  be returned 
  • Online orders damaged in transit are eligible for replacement within 7 days of delivery
  • Minor dents or bends on shipped books are not eligible for refunds or exchanges
  • Blind Date with a Book purchases are final sale
  • Kindle Cases may not be returned please make sure you get 

SECTION 8 — REWARDS PROGRAM

  • Earn 1 point for every $1 spent in a single transaction
  • Reach 100 points and receive $10 off your next purchase
  • Points never expire
  • Points apply to in-store and online.

SECTION 9 — INNER CHAPTER MEMBERSHIP

  • Limited to 25  memberships for 2026 once sold they will not be reissued
  • $35 per year
  • Includes 10% off every purchase, first access to events, exclusive annual member event, and a numbered keychain
  • Membership is non-transferable

SECTION 10 — PHOTO & LIABILITY RELEASE FOR EVENTS

By attending any event hosted by The Story Room Collective you agree to the following:

Liability Release: You acknowledge and accept the risks of participation and release The Story Room Collective, its affiliates, and employees from any and all liability for personal injury, property damage, or other loss arising from your attendance.

Photo Release: By attending you grant The Story Room Collective the right to use photographs, video recordings, or other media taken during the event for promotional purposes including social media, website content, and marketing materials. If you do not wish to be photographed please inform us in advance and we will make every effort to accommodate your request.

SECTION 11 — PERSONAL INFORMATION

Your submission of personal information through our store is governed by our Privacy Policy.

SECTION 12 — GOVERNING LAW

These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Florida, United States.
